World Health Organization (WHO) is the official co-sponsor of the 9th ISPAH Congress taking place in Abu Dhabi from 23rd-26th October, announced Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC). With an engaging schedule of workshops, speeches, and sessions, the Congress will drive impactful conversations on encouraging physical activity adoption across all age groups. Collaboration opportunities will also be explored to achieve a shared vision of a healthy and active society.

WHO sponsors 9th ISPAH Congress in Abu DhabiThe WHO’s co-sponsorship of the event emphasizes the importance of physical activity as a public health priority, and its impact on reducing the burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) as well as improving mental health and wellbeing. The ISPAH conference will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to strengthen scientific networks in the UAE, regionally and globally. It will also build capacity in the implementation of policy promoting physical activity locally and globally, so more people can start and stay active.

In addition to being the world’s largest congress on physical activity and health, ISPAH is widely recognized as a leading global society of researchers and practitioners. This society promotes physical activity across all stages of life, especially during childhood and adolescence. The theme of this year’s Congress is “Making Every Move Count”.
